A 13-page workbook that enables pupils to investigate signs of grooming and sexual exploitation both online and in the real world. It also looks at characteristics that make some people more vulnerable to predators. We use it alongside the dramatisation of events in Rochdale, 'Three Girls'. Pupils are asked to make two piles after cutting out the ingredients. Allow them time to 'debate' whether the ingredients are IN cigarettes or NOT IN cigarettes. Take feedback from group before announcing that they are ALL in cigarettes!

Pupils are asked to consider natural changes to their bodies. They must discuss/decide which changes affect male/female/both. A good starter to open discussion about changing bodies.

A resource which asks pupils to identify feelings as belonging to those with either high self esteem or low self esteem. They can then choose words from the table to describe times when they have had these feelings. A good starter for further work on self esteem. A word search to introduce aspects of SRE/Drugs/Teenage pregnancy I use this as a lesson starter and as an introduction to a unit of work for Year 11 looking at how alcohol and other substances can affect choices and sexual behaviour; how the media can influence body image; STI's and how to protect against them; the use of various forms of contraception; the consequences of teenage pregnancy; the effect of lifestyle choices on a foetus and issues around consent.
